Greater Manchester’s Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs) support and develop our voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. LIOs enable VCSE organisations to influence decision-making, build partnerships and networks, and support volunteers. When this support is accessible locally, individuals and communities thrive.

Bolton

Bolton CVS

Bolton CVS is the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector in Bolton. Their mission of working together to develop a diverse, strong, and effective voluntary and community sector in Bolton drives their work. Their focus is on promoting voluntary action, championing inclusion, improving quality, strengthening the offer from the voluntary and community sector, and enabling sustainable activity across the borough.

Bury

Bury Voluntary Community and Faith Alliance (VCFA)

Bury Voluntary Community and Faith Alliance (VCFA) enhances local community and voluntary action by developing the capacity of Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations in Bury to provide support and deliver quality services.

Manchester

Macc logo

Macc is the local support organisation for charities, voluntary and community groups and social enterprises in the city of Manchester. They are a Manchester-based registered charity first established in 1981. Macc works with a range of partners to support and develop the work of the city’s VCSE sector. They deliver a wide range of services and activities.

Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside

Action Together

Action Together is the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector in Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside. Action Together connects people with what’s happening in their community, develops community ideas into action, strengthens local organisations, and provides strategic influence for the charity and voluntary sector. Membership of Action Together is free and open to any VCFSE organisation in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.

Salford

Salford CVS

Salford CVS is the city-wide provider for the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Salford. They provide specialist information, advice, development support and opportunities for influence and collaboration across the sector.

Stockport

Sector 3

Sector 3 is the charity infrastructure support network for voluntary, community and faith-based groups, social enterprises and charitable organisations in Stockport.

Sector3 joins together community-minded groups, organisations and change-makers across Stockport to support their neighbourhoods to thrive. Through their network they offer each other peer-to-peer support, advice and learning to develop and grow their collective impact across the borough.

Trafford

Thrive

Thrive Trafford and Voluntary and Community Action Trafford offer VCSE infrastructure services in the Greater Manchester borough of Trafford.

Thrive delivered by Pulse Regeneration working in partnership to provide support to third-sector organisations and communities in Trafford. The aim of their Infrastructure Service is to assist the Trafford Council and the Trafford Partnership in delivering the Trafford-Third Sector Strategy and to achieve their vision of a thriving Third Sector.

Trafford is also supported by Voluntary and Community Action Trafford, who support not-for-profit organisations in Trafford with a Shared Space Initiative for partnership working with other not for profit organisations.

Trafford Community Collective

Trafford Community Collective is a member-led organisation that supports the development of the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector across Trafford by promoting a Collective and partnership approach to service development and delivery.

Wigan

Wigan and Leigh Community Charity

Wigan and Leigh Community Charity exists to build on the expertise developed in the Abram Ward Community Charity in order to maximise local resources and instigate, nurture and develop community business and social enterprise across the whole borough of Wigan, providing the knowledge, skills, networks and platforms, to enable social enterprise in all its different forms to thrive, thus contributing at a significant level to the education, employment and enterprise in Wigan and its neighbouring boroughs.
