Campaigns

Here’s a list of campaigns aimed at improving workplace standards which we encourage organisations to adopt.

The End Salary History Pledge allows you to join other organisations to help end the gender and ethnicity pay gap and demonstrate to your current and future employees your commitment to equal pay.

The Charity So White campaign is tackling institutional racism in the charity sector.

The Living Wage Foundation encourages employers to pay wages based on the Minimum Income Standard which is based on the UK cost of living.

The Living Wage Foundation has developed a new standard of what good looks like for those employers that can offer ‘Living Hours’ alongside a real Living Wage.

Show The Salary was born out of frustration at the lack of action being taken to address pay gaps and inequity in the charity sector. At the heart of the campaign is a commitment to fairness and equity, and to the people with lived experience of the impact of salary secrecy.

Walk Ride GM campaigns to make walking, cycling and other active travel modes the natural choice for journeys across Greater Manchester.

The Every Woman Promise advocates for women’s health in the workplace, addressing the prevalent taboos around issues such as menstrual health, cervical screening, contraception, pregnancy, and menopause. Despite women and individuals with gynaecological organs forming over half of the UK workforce, 65% feel uncomfortable discussing health matters at work. The initiative urges employers to commit to supporting women’s health, offering the Every Woman Promise programme fully subsidized for small and medium-sized organisation until early 2025.

By embracing the Every Woman Promise, employers can enable proactive health management, encourage attendance at crucial health appointments, educate staff on gynaecological health and cancers, and foster an open environment. Benefits for partners include an informative talk, access to a nurse-led information service, a resource library, recognition, and ongoing support.

Sign the Menopause Workplace Pledge and take positive action to make sure everyone going through the menopause is supported.
