Employment Accreditation Schemes

There are many employer accreditation schemes which can show your organisation is committed to being a good employer.

Being accredited shows that you invest in your people and can boost staff retention rates and morale. It will enhance your reputation as an employer and makes your organisation more appealing to prospective employees. We have listed some accreditation schemes below.

The campaign for a real Living Wage has ensured hundreds of thousands of workers are earning a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum. But millions of low-paid workers are also struggling to get the hours they need to make ends meet. That’s why the Living Wage Foundation has developed a new standard of what good looks like for those employers that can offer ‘Living Hours’, alongside a real Living Wage.

The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate based on the cost of living. It is voluntarily paid by over 14,000 UK organisations who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs – like the weekly shop, or a surprise trip to the dentist.

The Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter is a voluntary membership and assessment scheme which has been created to improve employment standards across all GM employers, regardless of size, sector, or geography. Organisations – including public sector bodies, private sector businesses, service providers, the third sector, and voluntary and community organisations – can sign up to the Charter.

The Show the Salary Campaign was created to address pay gaps and inequity in the charity sector. At the heart of the campaign is a commitment to fairness and equity.
