Job Description

Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse. We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.


Main purpose of the post:


Working as part of a partnership with Stockport Without Abuse (SWA), Talk, Listen, Change (TLC), Age UK Stockport, and Stockport Homes, the Lead IDVA will work closely with the Service Manager and other members of the Leadership Team, co-ordinating and contributing to the provision of a high quality domestic abuse support service, promoting user independence whilst ensuring high service standards are achieved, maintained and continuously improved.


The post holder will hold responsibilities around service delivery and development whilst holding a caseload providing high quality frontline support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a proactive service approach to those at high risk. The post holder will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of, amongst others: the MARAC partners, Stockport Community Safety Partnership, Children and Adult Safeguarding services, and local partners and community projects. The successful candidate will case manage a small team of IDVA’s to ensure Leading Lights standards are maintained in service delivery.
