About Us – Signpost Stockport for Carers
Established over 30 years ago, Signpost Stockport for Carers is a specialist independent charity supporting unpaid carers from the age of 6 and upwards.
We believe that having a caring role should not be a barrier to a fulfilling life. Our mission is to help carers manage their responsibilities while sustaining their own health and wellbeing—balancing their caring role with their personal goals and ambitions.
Based in Heaton Moor, we deliver services to carers across the Stockport borough. We also manage The Heatons Centre, a beautiful social enterprise venue that generates income to support our services through room hire and long-term tenants.
Our dedicated team of around 30 colleagues supports both adult and young carers. We outsource some operational functions such as payroll and HR.
