Job Description
Be the link between grassroots communities and system partners, ensuring voices are heard and support reaches where it’s needed most
Stockport is home to a vibrant mix of campaigns, projects, and networks, all working to make the borough a better place to live and work. But for these efforts to truly succeed, they must be shaped by the voices of the communities they aim to serve.
We know that grassroots organisations are on the frontlines, facing real challenges and driving meaningful change. That’s why it’s essential that our sector is actively involved in decision-making spaces, to represent lived realities, challenge inequality, and ensure support reaches those who need it most.
As Community Development Officer, you’ll act as a vital bridge between communities and system partners. You’ll connect grassroots groups with local agencies, amplify community voices, and help shape inclusive solutions that reflect Stockport’s diverse needs.
This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference, ensuring that Stockport’s communities are not only heard, but valued and supported in lasting ways.
