Working Hours: Part-Time (The ideal candidate will have an interest in sustainability, charity retail (furniture, electrical and clothing) supporting people through purpose, you may be a student who has an interest or are studying social work, physiology, mental health, looking for a rewarding part time role.
The role involves working every Saturday 9am - 3.30pm with a view to including Sunday working in the future 9.45am-3.30pm)

Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the post holder will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day operation and development of Emmaus Salfords charity shop retail operation.
The purpose of the role is to provide meaningful work and personal development opportunities for Companions (residents) and to develop, manage and motivate Companions, and volunteers, to continually grow the surplus income delivered by our shops. presenting to customers and supporters a positive image of Emmaus Salford through excellent retail practices.
Key accountabilities:
- Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operation of our retail stores
- Oversee the work of the shop teams, ensuring consistency of the Emmaus ethos and adherence to internal policies and legislative requirements.
- Provide effective strengths-based support, positive, professional behaviours, role modelling good practice to individuals, to ensure the motivation, training and development of all Companions, and volunteers.
- Work with shop teams to identify and exploit retail trends and local opportunities to grow income.
- Deliver high standards of customer service across shops and logistics.
- Deliver profitability by overseeing pricing, merchandising, and ensure ensuring the logistics schedule is time efficient, collecting the right items in the right areas.
You will also be required to support our solidarity projects, currently these are The food pantry/Lucie’s Pantry & School Uniform Hub
