Job Description
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated professional to join Signpost Stockport for Carers as our Employability and Skills Development Worker, supporting young carers aged 16–25 who are, or are at risk of becoming, NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).
This role involves:
- Providing tailored one-to-one support and coaching
- Helping young carers build confidence and develop aspirations
- Supporting young carers to overcome barriers to education, training, or employment
The successful candidate will also coordinate and deliver a dynamic programme of group sessions and workshops covering topics such as:
- Work readiness
- Life skills
- Personal development
- Exploring future opportunities
This role is ideal for someone who:

- Can adapt support to meet the unique talents, capabilities, and interests of young carers
Our aim is to help young carers achieve, succeed, and thrive.
Hours Per Week: 25
Role Type/Cause: Advice and Information, Youth Work / Children
