Job Description

  • Part-time position of 21 hours per week
  • Fixed-term 12 month contract with the possibility for extension subject to funding.
  • Salary of £15,221.94 per annum (pro-rata of £26,819.61 FTE), rising by 4% upon successful completion of probationary period

Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse. We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.

Main purpose of the post: 

The role of Lead CYP caseworker will work closely with the Management team and other leads across services, co-ordinating and contributing to the provision of a high-quality domestic abuse support service, promoting user independence whilst ensuring high service standards are achieved, maintained and continuously improved.

The post holder will hold responsibilities around service delivery and development whilst holding a caseload providing high quality frontline support to children and young people who are victims of domestic abuse. The post holder will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of, amongst others: the MARAC partners, Stockport Community Safety Partnership, Children and Adult Safeguarding services, local school and health leads and other local partners and community projects. The successful candidate will case manage a small team of Children’s workers to ensure high standards are maintained in service delivery.

Our benefits include a 4% pay increase upon successful completion of your 6-month probationary period, 24 days per annum plus public bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff), one day per annum birthday annual leave, regular clinical supervision with an external provider, 3% employer contributory pension.
