Working Hours: Part-Time (The existing Coordinator wishes to go part-time, to job share with new Coordinator. The working hours must include a Monday and/or a Friday.)

Job Description
Managing and delivering the work of GMHC: campaigning on occupational health and safety; speaking at trade union courses, meetings and events; organising annual Hazards Conference; providing secretariat for Hazards Campaign. Responsible to GMHC Management Committee.
- Campaigning on occupational health and safety issues
- Responding to enquiries on all aspects of occupational health and safety from England and Wales, not just the North West (there are a limited number of direct enquiries)
- Speaking at TUC stage 1, 2 and 3 health and safety courses and meetings and conferences / events organised by trade unions and campaigning organisations.
- Organising the annual Hazards conference on behalf of the Hazards Campaign ensuring conference outcomes are met.
- Maintaining the profile and providing the secretariat for the national Hazards Campaign
- Promoting and co-ordinating International Workers Memorial Day and organising the local IWMD event in Manchester, and other specific events as appropriate.
Hours Per Week: 17.5 to 21
Role Type/Cause: Advice and Information, Project Management
Pension (NEST scheme); no overtime pay but time off in lieu; full range of employment support policies and procedures.
