Job Description
Factory International, the organisation behind Manchester International Festival (MIF), is looking for a Marketing and Audiences Officer to help share the stories of our ambitious year-round programme and iconic festival. This role will play a vital part in building relationships with audiences, amplifying our unique voice, and ensuring our activities reach the widest and most diverse communities.

Salary - up to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

As part of the Audiences team, you’ll work across campaigns for Factory International’s ground-breaking cultural events and MIF, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to bring our vision to life. The key responsibilities for the Marketing Officer include;
- Devise and deliver marketing campaigns for Factory International’s year-round programme and MIF events, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and income targets
- Collaborate with producers, external partners and the press, content and design teams to deliver cohesive promotional strategies
- Work closely with the digital team and external creatives to develop digital content and campaign assets, including content for social media and email marketing campaigns
- Working closely with the Marketing Managers and internal Factory International departments, contributing to audience development initiatives, with a focus on broadening reach and increasing engagement among underrepresented communities
- Work closely with the marketing to team to deliver membership campaigns and membership administration
- Help monitor and evaluate marketing campaign performance, gathering and interpreting data to inform future activity
- Work closely with the Marketing Managers and Ticketing team on our CRM management
- Support regular reporting against KPIs and contribute to presentations for internal and external stakeholders
The person specification for the Marketing Officer are;
ESSENTIAL
- Experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns across a range of channels
- Familiarity with targeting diverse audiences using digital and traditional media
- Proficient in using CRM, social media, digital analytics tools, and website content management systems
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds
DESIRABLE
- Experience working in arts, culture, or events
- Knowledge of box office systems and ticketing processes
- Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and support of emerging talent
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week (this is 8 working hours + one-hour unpaid lunch break eg 9am-6pm)
