Job Description
We are looking for a Wellbeing Coordinator to provide holistic support to adults experiencing multiple disadvantage and challenges with their mental and physical health, to overcome and reduce the barriers to employment and to support them through setbacks and challenges.
Back on Track have been commissioned by Manchester City Council via GMCA and DWP to deliver the Manchester Economic Activity Trailblazer Programme (‘trailblazer’) as part of the national ‘Getting Britain Working’ programme. Trailblazer is an early intervention employment service providing holistic support to adults to overcome or reduce barriers to employment.
The Wellbeing Coordinator will work alongside the progression coordinator and colleagues from the curriculum team to develop personalised action plans that fulfil the individual’s goals and make the most of our full education curriculum. The role will then provide wellbeing and personal development support to participants on the Trailblazer Employment programme to develop skills and confidence to join and thrive in the workforce.
We are looking for someone who has experience in providing support and guidance around personal development and wellbeing and understands the challenges faced by adults who have experienced multiple disadvantage, poor health, and trauma. Our ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of other local support services and organisations that offer opportunities to those being supported on the trailblazer programme. As this is a new role, we are also looking for someone who can bring their own ideas and reflect on what is working and how we can improve support for members – both within and outside Back on Track.
We deeply value diversity, lived experience and what those can bring to the team, and we welcome applications from people who have faced the disadvantages our members experience in their lives.
This is a fixed term contract to 31 March 2026 (with possibility of extension subject to funding).
