Job Description

Bolton Deaf Society would like to invite applications for the post of Operations Manager, a role refreshed to help support organisational growth and the extension of our needs-led service delivery to the local authority areas of Bury and Wigan as well. 

The purposes of the job are three-fold: i. to manage existing frontline service delivery, associated quality assurance and continuous improvement planning; ii. to lead on service development and strategic representation in Bury; and iii. to support on-going organisational development, the progression of supportive funding and financial diversification strategy. It may be, on occasion, that the Operations Manager will also be required to deputise for the CEO. 

We're looking for energetic, tenacious, flexible and fully committed applicants with high standards, sound values and experience in similar roles. We are particularly keen to encourage application by Deaf professionals able to bring lived experience as well as established competencies in people, process, resource and risk management; service development in collaboration with communities of interest and place, present and prospective beneficiaries; and effective, efficient works growing, embedding and integrating organisational operating procedures. 

The position is for 25 hours a week and 1 year to start with, offering a full-time equivalent salary of £48,000 plus 6% employer's pension contribution, a generous holiday allowance, access to an employee welfare programme and chance to further enhance our staff wellbeing provisions for the future.
