Position: Fundraising & Events Steward
Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Up to £28,000 Basic per annum + On-Target Earnings (OTE) up to £36,000 per annum
Location: Bolton – Working across the North West Region
Reports To: COO or Head of Stewardship and Communications

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join our team and play a vital role in sustaining and expanding our mission.
Role Overview
Are you a newly qualified Fundraising Apprentice or an experienced fundraiser? Look no further—you've found your next opportunity!
As our Fundraising & Events Steward, you’ll manage and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy and events calendar for Lagan’s Foundation. Your role includes:
- Nurturing and expanding our donor database
- Growing our regular giving program
- Organizing and overseeing fundraising events
- Developing corporate partnerships
- Collaborating with our Community Engagement Officer to build strong relationships in the community
You will also promote our initiatives through social media, ensuring that supporters stay well-informed and engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Donor Management: Maintain and expand our donor base with regular engagement.
- Event Management: Plan and lead fundraising events, including early morning, late evening, and weekend activities.
- Networking: Attend events to build relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
- Community Collaboration: Work closely with the Community Engagement Officer to align efforts with our mission.
- Social Media: Create and manage content to announce events and promote our cause.
- Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on fundraising performance with actionable insights.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in fundraising within the charity sector, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding financial goals.
- GCSES, English and Maths Level A-C or 9-5 or Functional Skills.
- Passion for supporting families of disabled children and a deep understanding of the challenges they face.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and event management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using donor management software and social media platforms.
- Flexibility to attend early morning, late evening, and weekend events as required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Certifications in fundraising, philanthropy, or nonprofit management (e.g., CFRE)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the healthcare sector, including key issues, challenges, and trends within healthcare services.
