Community Engagement and Insight Coordinator

The role

Our Systems Change team works to address the root causes of poverty and inequalities through enabling collaboration, campaigning, voice and influence.

Within our Systems Change team, this role will lead on strengthening our approach to gathering and using community insight and data to inform our work and influence strategic decision-making. You will have a wide-ranging remit around influencing change through community-led data and insight, with a focus on health inequalities.

The role will lead on a project to influence NHS GM decision-making through capturing, analysing and sharing community insight. This will include facilitating a network of community organisations who are passionate about influencing change through community insight and leading on the co-design and project management of specific pieces of engagement.

You will work closely with our members to support them to address health inequalities in their communities, making community data and insight accessible and supporting groups to turn ideas into action through approaches such as co-design workshops and participatory grantmaking.

Finally you will lead on developing systems to capture data and insight across Action Together’s work, analysing and reporting on what we learn, to ensure community insight leads to tangible change

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who…

  • Brings together analytical, strategic, creative and relational talents.
  • Can work flexibly and creatively, confident both analysing data and facilitating communities to turn ideas into action.
  • Can make sense of complex information, analyse data and communicate it accessibly to generate learning and action.
  • Is driven by social justice and addressing the root causes of health inequalities and wider systemic issues faced by local communities.
  • Is rooted in community and understands the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector.
  • Is a networker and can easily build strong, trusting relationships with people and organisations.
  • Is an excellent communicator and effective in producing reports and presentations to a wide variety of audiences

This vacancy closes at 9am on Monday 19 May 2025.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 05 June 2025 and will include a panel interview and task.
