Salary: We pay a freelance rate of £110 per day.

Working Hours: Part-Time (Our courses run from 10am to 4pm daily, lasting either one or two weeks. You’ll need to be available for the full duration of the course.

Successful candidates will receive training days to learn the different course content and will be allocated work across the academic year until July 2026, with the possibility of extension.)

Job Description

Proper Job Theatre Company is looking for enthusiastic freelance facilitators to join our team.

If you’re passionate about using drama and theatre to engage and support adult learners, we’d love to hear from you!

As part of our delivery team you will co-facilitate our acclaimed LAB Courses, unique and ground-breaking programmes that combine applied theatre and therapeutic techniques. For over 20 years, The LAB Programmes have been helping adults across the Northwest to build confidence and life skills, earning an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted.

We are looking for people to work in Manchester (predominantly Ardwick) Kirklees (predominantly Huddersfield) and Calderdale (predominantly Halifax) however, there will be opportunities to work across the north. If you are only available to work in one of these areas, you can still apply.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Freelance Facilitator with Proper Job Theatre Company, you’ll play a vital role in the success of our LAB courses.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Lead and deliver LAB courses, both online and in-person.

• Provide support to learners, both individually and within a group setting.

• Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all participants.

• Manage and organise course resources effectively.

• Assist volunteers involved in the programs.

• Assist with administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the course.

• Guide learners throughout their journey on the LAB courses, ensuring a positive and impactful

experience.
