Job Description

We're looking for a highly motivated person to help us deliver this exciting cultural heritage project in 2025. Previous experience is not necessary as this is a trainee role, so do tell us about all the transferable skills you think you have. We want to give you the opportunity to develop in project management and/or the arts & culture sector with a small developing organisation that is passionate about unlocking the heritage and history of electronic music through the arts.

You don't need to be an expert on Delia Derbyshire but do need to be familiar with her work and heritage - there are plenty of videos about Delia on Youtube and on our Youtube channel.

You will assist with the smooth running of the project including administration, marketing, documenting the project, evaluation, liaising with project partners and staff.

As the Trainee Project Coordinator of this Delia Derbyshire Day 10th anniversary heritage project, you will develop skills like:

  • Liaising and co-ordinating with project staff, partner organisations, venues and volunteers involved in the project.

  • Attending regular meetings with Project Manager - in person (in an office in MCR city centre) and via phone/Zoom.

  • Assisting with marketing: posting content on social media platforms and DD Day mailing list.

  • Publishing website content according to NLHF guidelines for producing accessible online content - upload, compose, edit, keep up to date.
  • Assisting with administration and day-to-day running of the project.

  • Assisting with the documentation & evaluation of the project.

Fee: £6300 (35 days @ £180 per day), a temporary freelance contract. For our Charity Commission auditing, you will need a UTR (Unique Tax Reference number)
