Location: Hybrid – The Counselling and Family Centre, Altrincham (WA15 9RP)
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term (3 years, with potential extension)
Salary: £30,000 per annum (plus agreed expenses)
Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role
Are you a skilled project coordinator with deep roots in the community sector and a passion for improving mental health outcomes?
We’re looking for an experienced and well-connected Mental Health Collaborative Co-ordinator to strengthen and grow the Trafford Mental Health Network.
This role sits at the heart of Trafford’s Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector, bringing together partners, leading projects, and amplifying the impact of local organisations working to improve mental wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage collaborative projects, meetings, and events across the Trafford Mental Health Network.
- Build strong partnerships with local VCFSE organisations (especially those active in Trafford), statutory agencies, and businesses.
- Drive delivery of the Trafford Mental Health Aware Standards from concept to borough-wide implementation.
- Manage communications: producing engaging content for social media, newsletters, and reports.
- Oversee project planning, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring measurable outcomes and clear impact.
- Coordinate training and awareness activities, and produce the annual impact report.
- Contribute to joint funding bids and strategic development across the network.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in the VCFSE sector — ideally with established connections and understanding of the Trafford landscape.
- Proven project management experience, from planning and delivery to evaluation and reporting.
- Strong communications and stakeholder engagement skills, including confidence in writing, presenting, and digital comms.
- Knowledge of mental health and its impact on individuals and communities.
- Excellent organisational and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinking, creativity, and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly (with reliable Wi-Fi).
- Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to undertake a DBS check.
