Job Description

We are looking to recruit a freelance Finance Officer to help with the financial operations of the charity.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in Chorlton’s independent Theatre and Arts Centre.

The Edge Theatre & Arts Centre welcomes over 700 people through our doors every week and runs a varied programme of theatre, classes and courses and an award-winning participatory programme.

THE ROLE

This is a key role within our small friendly team. As Finance Officer you would be responsible for a range of tasks and activities including:

  • Supporting the preparation of the annual accounts
  • Reporting to the Board

  • Compiling information for annual TTR claims

The Edge is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. The organisation generates income through a diverse range of revenue streams, including earned income from box office sales, venue hire, classes and courses, and its on-site café/bar. Additional funding is secured through charitable grants from trusts and foundations, as well as support from local government and the National Lottery. Our annual turnover is £500,000.

Experience of using Sage would be an advantage, however it is not a necessity, as long as you are comfortable using new IT systems.
