CASUAL PLAY WORKER, LANGWORTHY CORNERSTONE ASSOCIATION

 

Post Title:        Summer Play Leader

Salary:               £75.00 per day X 15 Days [Paid fortnightly]

Hours:               Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday( 10:00 - 16:00)

Contract:         Casual / Part-time / Temporary (15 days contract)

Location:         Office based at Langworthy Cornerstone Centre, 451 Liverpool Street, Salford. M6 5QQ

 

About Us

Langworthy Cornerstone is a well-established local charity, founded in 2006, serving the communities of Seedley, Langworthy, Ordsall, Pendleton, Charlestown, and The Quays in Salford. We focus on improving health and wellbeing through a range of inclusive activities and support services.

Our centre hosts a variety of programmes including a Job Support, volunteering opportunities, Programs for kids and families, Fitness, and wellbeing sessions (such as chair-based exercise, yoga, Tai Chi, and Zumba), men's health and seniors' groups, exhibitions, and events. We also provide space for partners like Salford Disability Forum and Living Well in Salford and operate an on-site GP practice. We offer flexible office/space rentals and run the popular Jigsaw Café, serving fresh meals and a buffet service.

 

About You: Are you a friendly and Creative thinker with a good understanding and experience of managing children and activities for children? We are looking to recruit a casual employee to lead in the delivery of a range of play activities, including crafts, music and arts, trip and visit to places of interest for the age group specified. In this role, you will be responsible as part of small team in planning and delivering our summer play programme ensuring appropriate activities for children.  The ideal candidate will possess good enthusiasm, communication and leadership skills, professional qualifications and training; a Level 2/3 Certificate, Diploma in Childcare with an up-to-date Safeguarding Level 3 Certificate, GDPR, First Aid, or will be prepared complete this training prior to the programme commencing.  

 

                      

                                          

Hours Per Week: 18hrs approx.

Role Type/Cause: Admin, Social, Youth Work / Children

Flexible Working: Part time
