Wellbeing and Resilience for Leaders
We know that many leaders in the VCSE sector experience stress and burnout and can feel isolated in their roles. Often leaders are juggling a range of responsibilities and spinning plates to keep their organisation or group afloat, as well as looking out for the wellbeing of the wider staff team. There are a range of useful resources available in the wellbeing section of the VCSE Workforce Hub, including low and no cost wellbeing support in Greater Manchester. In this section, you can find some useful guides and resources, with a specific focus on wellbeing and resilience VCSE sector leaders.
If you are struggling to focus on work or home, if you are in distress about things that wouldn’t ordinarily bother you, or if you, (or those around you) are noticing a difference in your behaviours, it may be time to ask for help. There are several options to find the support you need, in a way that works for you, including speaking with your GP or accessing one of the support services detailed in the Greater Manchester Wellbeing Toolkit.
This workshop featured three speakers, who lead organisations or groups within the VCSE sector in Greater Manchester. They share about their own approach to wellbeing and resilience and offer practical insights and tips for sustaining wellbeing, in what can be a challenging and isolating role.
